Two days of drinking unlimited coffee and espresso from 30+ local coffee roasters -- it made my inner barista scream with delight. I was in heaven. It has been over a year now since I quit my last barista job and I missed the feel of pouring a shot of espresso. Even though my hands were all jittery and shaky from being caffeinated, my hands remembered the motions of filling the portafilter with ground espresso, tamping it, wiping the face, and twisting it in place in the machine before steaming that delicious oat milk with that familiar ripping paper sound. I had such a fun time and am looking forward to the next one!
