For The Love Of Coffee - Spade

I was eager to check off another coffee shop from my list using the Siply app. This time I visited Spade on Commercial Drive. I have passed by this coffee shop so many times, but every time I would just keep on walking by, saying to myself that I would visit another time. Finally, today was the day I intentionally drove all the way from Langley to check it out!

Cute coffee shop vibes at Spade // Fujifilm XT1 + Canon FD 50mm f1.4 + Lens Turbo II

It is a super cute space and I was pleasantly surprised to see a lot of tables and seating areas. It was fairly busy when I visited (it was a Saturday afternoon, prime-time coffee shop time), but it didn't feel crowded despite nearly all the tables being occupied. I love the open look of it with its white walls and clean modern accents of the tile and the large spade hanging on the rustic wood wall.

Of course I ordered my favourite, the Flat White, using the Siply app. Absolutely delicious! The person at the front counter was super friendly and welcoming. I loved the entire vibe of this place and will definitely be coming back again. I brought along my ever beloved travel companion, my Fujifilm XT1 with a favourite vintage lens of mine, the Canon FD 50mm f1.4 and the Zhongyi Lens Turbo II. I haven't used this lens in awhile, so I thought it was time to bring it out on a little adventure. Enjoy a few classic coffee snapshots!

If you haven't downloaded Siply yet, you really should. You get a discount from some of the best coffee shops in Vancouver using credits you purchase from a subscription. It is a pretty neat app for someone who enjoys sipping on quality coffee and doesn't want to spend the time and effort in searching for the best!

FYI, I am not paid by either Spade or Siply to do this blog post. I just wanted to share more of my thoughts on the app and my adventures in coffee shop hopping in this great city I live in :)
